Most things people ask about, in one place. If yours is not here, open a support ticket and it gets read by a person.
Each kind installs differently, and the difference is not obvious if you have not done it before. The install guide walks through Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, server plugins and datapacks separately, with the folder each one goes in.
Every product lists the Minecraft versions it supports, on the card in the shop and again on its own page. You can also filter the shop by version - the filter rail on the products page has one - which is usually faster than reading through.
A mod built for 1.20.1 will not load on 1.21. That is Minecraft being strict rather than anything this shop decides, and it is why the version is on the label.
Most downloads here hand you off to an external host, so the usual cause is a browser blocking the new tab. Check for a blocked-popup note in the address bar first.
If that is not it, open a support ticket with I cannot download it as the topic and say which product - it is the fastest kind of ticket to fix, because the link either works or it does not.
Not for anything free, which is most of the shop. An account is for the social side - liking, saving, following, commenting, friends and messages - and for the paid plugins that come with Pro.
With a Microsoft account, which is the account you already have if you play Minecraft. There is no password to create here and no email address is ever asked for.
This site displays an Xbox gamertag or a Minecraft Java username, and nothing else. If your Microsoft account has neither yet, there is no name to show.
Signing in once at xbox.com creates a gamertag; sign in here again afterwards and it appears. If the account owns Minecraft Java as well, you get both and can choose which one people see on your settings tab.
Your Microsoft account name is never displayed anywhere, whichever you pick. It is very often somebody's real full name, and it has no business appearing under a comment on a shop.
Yes, from the settings tab, and it is not a request that goes into a queue. It removes the account, every comment you have written and every like you have given, in one go. You can sign in again afterwards and start over.
Free gets every mod, datapack and config on the site, downloadable, plus comments, likes, friends and messages - that is most of what is here. Pro adds the paid plugins and the suggestions board. Ultimate adds early access to those plugins before Pro sees them.
The plans page lists all three side by side.
There is no checkout on this site yet. Free is the only plan you can set for yourself; the paid ones are granted by hand. If you want one, open a support ticket and ask.
Slurs and harassment, anything sexual or graphic, spam and advertising, and leaked or reuploaded files. Arguments about whether a mod is any good are entirely fine.
Comments publish immediately and are filtered on the way in. If one is refused, the message says why.
Anything done to your account appears on the Standing tab of your account page, with the reason written out. A mute stops you posting publicly and expires on its own; you can still read everything and still open a support ticket.
If you think a decision was wrong, there is an appeal form on that same tab. It is read by a person and answered either way.
Yes - the suggestions board. Anybody can read it and vote on what is there; posting is part of Pro and Ultimate. Suggestions get answered with a stage, so you can see what is being looked at rather than guessing.
Mentions match the name shown under your comments - your gamertag or your Java username, whichever you display. If you display one and somebody typed the other, it will not match, on purpose.
You also will not be mentioned if you have turned your profile off in settings, or turned mentions off in the same place.
Your Microsoft account identifier, your gamertag and Minecraft name if you have them, your plan, and whatever you do here - likes, saves, comments, messages. No email address, because it never asks for one.
The privacy policy is specific about all of it, including the two third parties that see anything.
Anybody, unless you turn it off. It collects things that are already public - your name, what you have liked, what you have written - onto one page, and the switch in settings is there because being collected is a different thing from being visible.
What you have saved is never on it, and neither is anything to do with moderation. Saving is the private gesture; liking is the public one.
Open a support ticket. It goes to one person, who answers them oldest first, and the reply arrives in your notifications.
