Plans
Minecraft's own rules do not allow a mod, a datapack, a resource pack or a config to be put behind a subscription, so a plan will never be the thing standing between you and one of those. Every one of them is on Free and stays there. The exception is a server plugin, which is software for whoever runs the server rather than something that goes into the game: paid plugins are included with Pro, and Ultimate gets each new one for a while before Pro does.
Nothing is on sale yet. There is no card form, no checkout and nothing to cancel. This page exists so the plan you are on is never a surprise, and so you can see what is coming.

The short answers
- Will a plan ever be what unlocks a mod or a datapack?
- No, and it cannot be. Minecraft's rules do not allow a mod, a datapack, a resource pack or a config to be locked behind a subscription, so whatever Pro and Ultimate turn out to be, that is not one of the things they can be. Every one of those is on Free and stays there.
- Why are plugins different?
- Because a plugin is not something that goes into the game. It runs on a Minecraft server, it is installed by whoever owns that server, and selling one has been ordinary practice for as long as there have been servers to put them on. That is the whole of the difference, and it is why paid plugins are the only thing on this site a plan may include.
- What does Ultimate get first?
- New paid plugins. Each one is set with a date when it opens to Pro, and until that date passes it is an Ultimate download. It is a head start rather than a different catalogue - nothing stays Ultimate forever, and the shop says on the card which plugins are still inside their window and when they come out of it.
- Then what else would I actually be paying for?
- The work, rather than the files. A badge beside your name, the suggestions board, first word on what is being built, a say in what gets made next, and on Ultimate a line in the credits.
- Can I change my mind?
- Yes, from this page, whenever you like. Since nothing is on sale there is nothing to lose by waiting.
- What happens to my account if I never upgrade?
- It carries on exactly as it is, with everything in it. Comments, likes, friends and messages are not part of any plan and never will be.
